The Meet and Greets
Throughout every semester the men will be hosting several events in which you will be able to meet the brothers, see the house, and see who else is in your shoes. During this time there will be a lot of guys approaching you and trying to get to know you as an individual. Go through it all with an open mind! Eventually, assuming everything works out, you will be offered a bid, or a formal invitation to join the Fraternity.
The Pledging Process
After receiving a bid and getting pledged in, you will begin your semester long journey as a pledge, or a new member. During this time you will grow close with your pledge brothers as well as every active in the chapter. We have a ZERO tolerance policy for hazing. After a few weeks you will receive a big brother. He will be your mentor throughout and after the process. There are also weekly meetings in which you will learn the history and lore of Beta Theta Pi.
Life as an Active
Upon getting initiated, you will become what is known as an active member. This means that you are one of us! You will be allowed to vote on important topics, take on a leadership position, and attend leaderships camps. Along with all of the business you will also be able to partake in socials and campus events, such as homecoming and winter carnival.
